2025 Aston Martin Vantage: Overview, Price and Specs
2025 Aston Martin Vantage Overview
Exclusive, stylish, and extremely powerful, the Aston Martin Vantage offers a refined take on the high-performance grand touring car design. Featuring a new 656-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine, an updated interior, and several small exterior changes, the 2025 Vantage is better in every way. Unfortunately, the 12-cylinder Vantage is no longer available, but the new V-8 engine brings a 128-hp boost over the old engine, which should ease any worries about having four fewer cylinders.
The Vantage’s sporty chassis is improved with revised suspension design and better dynamics software, and the gasoline V-8 delivers thrilling acceleration with a satisfying exhaust sound. The updated interior, while still cozy, features upgraded hand-stitched leather and a modern infotainment system. Thankfully, a few physical controls for important functions—including drive mode, exhaust selection, and HVAC settings—are still present.
Drivers looking for that unique sports car experience who find the similarly-priced Porsche 911 Turbo and the Mercedes-AMG GT63 too common will find a kindred spirit in the Vantage; those seeking even more exclusivity can consider the Aston DB12.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
Like the previous model, the new Vantage’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 has AMG origins. However, it has been significantly updated with new turbos, revised cam profiles, optimized compression ratios, and improved cooling for increased power. It now delivers 656 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, a boost of 128 horsepower and 85 pound-feet over the previous Vantage F1 edition, which was the most powerful Vantage variant. Power goes to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2025 Vantage has a 7 percent stiffer chassis, revised active dampers, and other updates, including new Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tires. In our initial test drive, we loved the Vantage’s energetic feel. Its responsive brake pedal, precise steering, and balanced character make it a joy to drive. The upgraded V-8 engine also provides impressive power, and the transmission works excellently with it.
2025 Aston Martin Vantage 0–60 MPH Times
Aston Martin claims the new Vantage can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. Considering that the previous Vantage in F1 Edition trim achieved the same in 3.5 seconds in C/D testing with 128 less horsepower, it’s likely the new Vantage will be even quicker by a few tenths of a second. The top speed for the new car is a claimed 202 mph.
2025 Aston Martin Vantage Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Aston Martin has always offered plenty of interior options and upgrades, including a full-leather interior, heated and ventilated seats, a carbon-fiber steering wheel, and embroidered headrests, but the overall effect could sometimes feel a bit random. The 2025 model features a thoroughly revised interior; it’s still a cozy space with just enough room for two, but modern touches, including a new center console and an infotainment touchscreen, add a bit of modernity and cohesiveness.
Interior storage is limited, with only a shallow center-console bin and door pockets. The convertible’s power-operated fabric roof folds up and down quickly and features a Z shape that Aston says helps save trunk space. While the Vantage Roadster has a slightly smaller trunk than the coupe, it can still fit a full-sized golf bag.
2025 Aston Martin Vantage Infotainment and Connectivity
A 12.5-inch touchscreen with new software replaces the previous 8.0-inch unit. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard features, and the navigation system integrates What 3 Words destination input.
The new Aston Martin app works in sync with the vehicle, the app, and Aston Martin’s servers via an onboard cellular service for a fully connected ownership experience. The standard audio system is a 390-watt, 11-speaker Aston system, but for audiophiles, there’s an option for a 1170-watt, 15-speaker Bowers and Wilkins system.
